For the second time in 5 years, a Gazebo
Junction gazebo kit has been used on "Fix It Up", Home & Garden
Television's (HGTV) cable television show. The
first show, which originally aired in April of
1996 and is periodically rerun on HGTV, was filmed outside Atlanta. It was part two of a three part series
which included the building of the deck and the installation of a hot tub. Gazebo Junction employees Rob, Paul and Phil made the trip to
Georgia to assist Pat and co-host Mandy Roseter in the installation of the 14'
Morning Glory gazebo and to take part in the filming. Although the actual
time spent erecting the gazebo was less than 4 hours, the filming took two days. The
series was also featured in Workbench Magazine with the gazebo phase featured as
the cover story in September
of 1996.
In Spring of 2000, Pat again elected to use a Gazebo Junction kit
for a new episode of "Fix It Up" which originally aired on June 3rd
and is often repeated. This time, a 12'
Caboose model was erected on a deck at the shore of a small lake. Pat and co-host Jody Marks made the installation look
easy and enjoyable, and were left with the feeling of accomplishment when
looking at the completed structure. Pat was quoted as saying "this gazebo kit is the best I've ever seen."
